Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries however check out the answers below to some common questions we are asked.

  1. Do you only do two night breaks? – No you can stay for any number of nights.

  2. I am a beginner will I be ok? – The suggested routes are suitable for all levels, we know the area really well so can suggest routes for your ability. But the final decision is yours as only you know how well you bike.

  3. I don’t feel very fit or confidant will I cope? - Outdoorgirlz is about having fun and enjoying your bike. You ride at your own pace and we can suggest a suitable  ride to suit you. If you need that extra re assurance we can arrange excellent tuition & guiding to get that all important confidence boost!

  4. Is it dangerous? – All the trails are marked & graded on your info pack so there are no nasty surprises. Mid Wales is a very safe rural area with a very low crime rate. Like a skiing holiday there is always the danger of a fall. But if you are honest about your ability and what you can ride then we can suggest what rides are suitable. The decision is yours though on if you ride any trail.

  5. How can I pay? -  You can either pay using a credit or debit card through paypal or via a cheque or bank transfer.

  6. What about food? - Outdoorgirlz provide a packed lunch and tea & cakes each day. You can pick your own packed lunch each day from an array of ingredients so you choose what you fancy to eat. Breakfast is normally supplied within your accommodation and evening meals are available at some B&B’s. Squirrels Nest B&B offer a great value pre booked evening meal with main courses such as Lemon Chicken, Pork Casserole, Lasagne etc followed by a yummy desert. Vegetarian option always available.

  7. I am a non rider what about me? – For non riders there is plenty to do in the area and if you’re a walker there are endless walks to discover.

  8. Are you open all year? – We are open from March to October.

  9. What’s the single track like? – There is plenty of singletrack across the open hills and valleys, most of it sweet & flowing some sections can be a little rutted or a bit boggy but that just adds to the fun!

  10. Can I rent a bike? – Yes we can arrange for you to rent a bike from a local bike hire centre.

  11. How do I find you? – On booking you receive a full info pack with map & directions. The bike base is approximately 50 mins from Shrewsbury, Shrops.

  12. Do you have any facilities for children? – The bike base is suitable for everyone but we do not have any special facilities such as a play area etc.

  13. Can my children ride with me? - We can suggest suitable rides for you and the children depending on your abilities.

  14. I am on my own what about me? – If possible we will join you up with other riders or you could check out the Outdoorgirlz Network. We can arrange for you to ride with a guide or if you ride on your own you can rely on our back up support should you need us.
